Help Colin Repair His Essential Car

Hi, so I’m a pace student, and work 2 jobs at the moment which are not close to where I live so I need a car that is reliable. I have a 2018 Honda civic hatchback, which is fully stock and always babied. I had gotten it used from a dealership so I’m not sure of the wear on the engine before I got it. I noticed excess oil consumption, and smoke from the exhaust so I took it to a mechanic who says my piston rings are blown. So basically the engine either has to be rebuilt or another used or new engine has to be put in. The estimate is around 7 thousand dollars which is insane to me. I’m gonna bring it to another shop and get more quotes but it’ll be around 6-7 k for the job. I only have around 500 dollars in the bank saved at the moment, so ANY change or donation would be HIGHLY appreciated.
