Help Kitties to safety after DV!

These two lovely kitties are the sweetest, most precious souls on this planet. They are my registered Emotional Support Animal family members and the reason I continue to fight for my freedom in a challenging domestic violence situation! 🤍

For two years, I've been actively trying to flee from Domestic Violence. Found out what an narcissist was.

To summarize a long story, I previously filed for a protection order against this individual, which was dismissed in a different state due to his claim that the weapon wasn’t his. Though the terror didn’t stop at that… I've been with this man on and off since 2022, the rose colored glasses came off two years ago when our legal battles started. Fortunately, this time, i recorded everything, & I managed to secure a permanent protective order and such, for myself and my cats as of this month, May 2026.

Here’s a little information about myself: I possess two college degrees and have accumulated five years of experience in management roles within Parks and Recreation. Four years ago, I formed a common law marriage with someone who decided to fully support me, which resulted in my moving across state lines and stepping back from my career. Consequently, I no longer have access to my own funds..

In 2020 I received a TBI in another accident fracturing my temple open with two internal hemorrhages, then my most recent concussion (8th documented) marked a pivotal moment in my health, resulting in absent seizures and stroke-like symptoms that began after a car crash in 2024. This incident was the result of his violence towards me as well.

I currently have family friends willing to take me and my cats in my home state. However, transportation for two cats is difficult. It’s challenging to leave this small town near Denver without a vehicle. I’m seeking financial assistance for the $1,679 U-Haul rental and fuel costs, or if I can get enough funding, there is a nice suv worth more than 2000$ in town someone has found for me, for 2G thats my safest way out. I would just need the insurance for that which is why I am asking for that amount.

When I’m away and safe, the next steps finding full time work again and getting my two veterinary visits—one for each cat—to ensure they are actually okay after all this stress, I can’t manage this on my own, and although I feel embarrassed to ask, any help would be greatly appreciated!
