As most everyone knows, Asheville and surrounding towns were hit hard by Hurricane Helene. We have been blessed with an almost over abundance of food, water, and other supplies for the moment. But there is no projected return date for water service. Without it, many food/beverages industry folks will be out of work for weeks (one week already) and still need to pay bills. I'm trying to think a step ahead in that regard and raise money to distribute within the community. I don't know how much this will raise, or how far it will reach so I kept the desired goal low to try and guarantee a payout. With this money I will make sure my roommates and I (who are all out or work for the foreseeable future) can pay rent, then approach my coworkers and friends who are out of work and try to distribute it according to their needs. If we happen to be blessed with more than we need, I will move to friends of friends, and others in the restaurant community. We'd appreciate literally anything you can give, and if ypu can't, sharing it would be a huge help. Take care of each other ❤️
