Help us get mom to Colorado and support her future
Our mom is our heart.
Recently, she survived a life-altering stroke that affected her left eye and the right side of her body. In an instant, everyday things most of us take for granted—walking, getting dressed, preparing meals—became overwhelming challenges. By the grace of God, she is still with us. She is currently in a Level 1 inpatient rehabilitation hospital, working tirelessly through physical therapy to regain strength and independence. We are so proud of her determination.
But surviving the stroke was only the first battle.
Her current living situation is no longer safe or suitable for her condition. She deserves a space where she can heal safely, comfortably, and with dignity.
After many difficult conversations, we—her children—have made the decision to move her from Pennsylvania to Colorado to live with her youngest daughter, Raquel. Raquel’s home offers the safest and most supportive environment for Mom’s recovery. She is ready and willing to provide the daily care, supervision, and love our mom needs during this new chapter.
However, moving our mother across the country is no small task.
This fundraiser will help us:
• Safely transport Mom from Pennsylvania to Colorado
• Cover gas and travel expenses for the cross-country drive
• Purchase ADA-accessible equipment to make Raquel’s home safe and functional
• Provide a new bed and essential mobility equipment
• Support her ongoing and future care needs
Every dollar raised will go directly toward creating a safe, accessible environment where our mom can continue her rehabilitation surrounded by family.
She spent her life caring for us—now it’s our turn to care for her.
