On July 21, I received the news no one ever wants to hear—I was diagnosed with rectal cancer. My world turned upside down that day, and since then I’ve been focused on finding the best care possible to give myself the strongest chance at healing.
Unfortunately, the treatment I need isn’t easily available close to home. I may have to travel out of state to receive specialized care and support. On top of the travel, lodging, and medical bills, the cost of the special food and supplements I need has become overwhelming. These are critical for supporting my body through treatment, and they add up quickly.
