My dad has always been the definition of strength… the kind of man who keeps going no matter what life throws at him. And now, as he prepares to begin his cancer treatment, he’s showing that same quiet courage all over again. He’ll soon be starting chemotherapy, followed by radiation, and even though the road ahead is overwhelming, he’s staying positive and hopeful.
What makes this even harder is that he owns his own business. There’s no sick leave, no paid time off, no backup income. If he isn’t working, he doesn’t get paid. And even with the stress of upcoming treatments and all the unknowns, he’s still trying to keep his business running so he can support himself.
He jokes and keeps a smile on his face, but underneath it all, the weight of what’s ahead is heavy. Medical expenses, time away from work, and the strain of running a business during treatment will all start to pile up.
My dad has always been the first person to step up and help others. Now, for the first time, he’s the one who needs help.
Anything you give… whether it’s a donation, a share, or a prayer means more than you know. It helps lift some of the pressure off his shoulders so he can focus on what matters most: starting treatment with strength and fighting for his healing.
Thank you for supporting him as he takes on this journey.
