I am appealing to your generosity to help me finance my trip to San Francisco so that I can attend my son's funeral and life celebration, which will take place on August 23.
Jeremy was struck by a car while crossing a street in El Granada, a suburb of San Francisco, on August 1. He died instantly. He was 44 years old.
This is super hard for me to do this but I need help... I am setting up this fundraiser because, unfortunately, I do not have sufficient financial resources to cover these sudden expenses on my own.
I have estimated the cost of this trip and my contribution to the funeral expenses at approximately $6,500. My family in France has helped me with the $1,800 for the airfare. What are left are between $2,500 and $3,000 for twelve nights in a hotel or Airbnb, and other expenses like funeral and transportation costs (cremation, rental car, transportation from Toulon to Paris, etc.) estimated at around $2,000.
I am infinitely grateful for your support. Your help will ease the burden of financial worries that are coming on top of the intense pain and sadness I am currently experiencing.
