I've never done this before, my name it Jonathan and I'm here because I have nowhere else to turn. My brother Fabian is on life support in the ICU in NC, US. I live in NY where we both grew up, up until a couple of years ago when he moved to North Carolina to live with our mother. My mother is not well in body nore mind and neglected to inform me that my brother was having health issues until it was too late. She was in an accident years ago and is on many many different meds which make here loopy at best. Back to the reason why we are here… Fabian suffered a severe septic shock from a infection brought on by a severe intestinal ulcer, that leaked food into his diaphragm and rotted inside him. he’s being kept on life support in a induced coma and is scheduled for a number of surgeries in the next couple of days. His chances are at 20% that he will beat the infection. I work as a manual laborer and this winter hasn’t been busy. Between food and rent I am very broke and I have no way to know how the heck I’m going to be able to travel to be by my brothers side, or if worst happens… how I would pay for a funeral and hospital costs. I don’t drive. I wish I had a car, I’d drive down there, I’d beg on the street for gas money if I had to. I’m asking for a strangers help, please.
I don’t know if I should put which exact hospital he’s in so for now until I find out otherwise, I’ll say it’s in Wilmington NC
