We never imagined we'd be in a position to ask for help, but life has thrown us a few unexpected challenges, and we're doing our best to keep up.
Last semester, I was in college and received a grant that was supposed to help cover our rent. Unfortunately, we recently found out that the payment was never processed—leaving us three months behind on rent without realizing it. We discovered this in late June, and shortly after, in early July, I went into preterm labor.
Our baby boy, now 8 weeks old, spent time in the NICU and has been in and out of the hospital since coming home. On top of everything, our only family vehicle that fits all 7 of us has been out of commission due to a broken A/C. When we brought it in for a quote, the mechanic went ahead and repaired it without our permission—and is now holding the car until we pay, which we simply can't afford right now.
With school starting again and my husband returning to work and school, having our vehicle is more important than ever for our family's day-to-day life.
If you’re in a position to donate or share, we would be incredibly grateful. Every little bit helps more than you know, and it would mean the world to our family during this tough season.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story.
