Our family has been hit with an unexpected medical emergency that has left us in a difficult financial situation. My husband, who was the sole provider for our three girls and myself, recently underwent major surgery after suffering a heart attack. The doctors found three major blockages, including a 99% blockage in his "widowmaker," which required double bypass open heart surgery. At only 36, this is the last thing we were expecting.
As a result of this surgery, he will be out of work for at least 12 weeks, leaving us without his income during this time. Unfortunately, his employer doesn't offer any benefits or temporary disability coverage, which has made things even more challenging for us.
That's why we're turning to our community for help. We have had several close friends suggest doing a fundraiser to help with expenses while my husband recovers. Any amount donated would be greatly appreciated and would go a long way in easing the financial burden we are currently facing.
We know that times are tough for many people, but even a small donation can make a big difference for our family. We are incredibly grateful for any support that we receive, and we thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity during this difficult time.
