In the summer of 2026, Sandstone KC will premiere REVOLUTIONS, a groundbreaking new musical workshop written by Zach Omer that reimagines history with rhythm, wit, and heart. But to bring this bold vision to life, we need your support.
REVOLUTIONS is not your typical period piece. It’s a “hip-hOPERA” — a rap musical inspired by the tunes of Hamilton the musical — that chronicles the true tale of Horatio Nelson Jackson and Sewall Crocker, the first men to drive across the United States in a 1903 motorcar. Their journey was daring, improbable, and utterly transformative — much like the spirit of this show.
Fast-paced and clever, REVOLUTIONS captures the grit and humor of two unlikely adventurers who defied the odds. It’s a story of innovation, resilience, and the power of partnership — themes that resonate deeply today.
By supporting Sandstone KC’s debut production, you’re not just funding a musical. You’re fueling a new kind of storytelling — one that celebrates history through theatrical innovation. Your gift helps us pay artists, rent facilities, construct sets, and open the doors to a summer of creativity and community.
Please consider making a donation here or spreading the word about the show! Your support is greatly appreciated!
REVOLUTIONS: a new musical workshop. July 31 at 7:00PM and August 1 at 2:00PM and 7:00PM at Olathe Civic Theater Association.
