Bowen was born fighting on 11/20/23 with a rare Congenital Heart Defect (CHD), Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS) with mitral & aortic stenosis. Bo has braved two open heart surgeries, three Cardiac Catheterizations & four Cardiac ICU admissions. He will undergo a third open-heart surgery in the near future, hopefully allowing his heart to last many years before needing a transplant. That being said, Bo is as happy as can be! Bo’s diagnosis has added many levels of complexity to our lives, mentally, emotionally, financially. We feel so blessed to have the support of our friends, family & community! 1 in every 100 babies is born with a CHD, 2-3% of those with HLHS. Our goal is to raise awareness, help others dealing with CHDs and be able to provide Bo everything he needs to live. Thank you so much for being a part of that!
