For 21 years I gave everything to my company, promotions from entry-level to District Manager + IT Supervisor, zero reprimands, and a spotless driving record with the company cars. In 2021 I was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. The tremors and stiffness made the long hours in the field impossible. I simply asked to move full-time into the office IT role where my coworkers already did at 40–45 hours, just like a retiring manager had been allowed to do. Instead, they took away my set salary, my company car, and forced me into an hourly position that actually now requires 55–60 hours a week to make close to what I earned before. My take-home pay is down almost 15% while inflation has gone up nearly 30%. Gas, medical bills, and a mortgage we counted on my old income for have pushed us to the breaking point. This year alone I’ve had one hospital stay and an unexpected surgery because I can’t afford the consistent physical therapy I need. At 60 + years old, the long days are destroying what’s left of my body, but I can’t quit — we need my insurance. My spouse has picked up every extra shift she can, but we are still falling behind. The only dream we have left is to pay down enough of our mortgage so we’re not at risk of losing our home if my health forces me to stop working. We are not asking for a handout — we’re asking for a lifeline. Every dollar you give goes straight to medical bills and knocking down this mortgage so my wife doesn’t have to carry everything alone if I can’t work anymore. If you can’t donate, a share means the world. This is hard to ask, but after two decades of proudly taking care of my family, I’m humbled to need help now. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, and may God bless you for any kindness you can show.
I pray that God blesses you and thank you for reading, supporting, and sharing our journey.
