On September 2nd, while walking in his small town of Huron, my dad, Paul, was hit by a vehicle, leaving us in a state of shock and fear. The accident resulted in major brain injuries, changing our lives in an instant.

We are incredibly overwhelmed by the love and support we have received. So many people have supported us with meals, helping us with daily tasks like grabbing mail and mowing the lawn, but most importantly praying for Paul as well as my mom. We continue to give our praises as well as anguishes to the Lord, who never leaves us or forsakes us.

Paul and Sarah are very giving individuals, it’s now time for us to give back to them. As you may know, receiving doesn’t come easily for some. However, the Lord has put it on our heart to create a platform to help with medical expenses. Many have asked how they can help, and we at times don’t know how to answer, as we too feel helpless at times. By no means do we ask or expect anyone to contribute, but for those who are seeking a way to help we have created this place.

Currently Paul is still in a coma. He needs to be transferred to a location that can help with a more long term recovery. We will try and update this page periodically, but you can also get updates on Paul’s Caring Bridge page. https://www.caringbridge.org/site/ff03700d-a80c-11f1-bf34-eb09ff45ca1e

We again want to thank the amazing people who have surrounded us with prayer, sent us messages, brought us meals, and simply sat with us in the waiting room. Your prayers mean more than we can express. Please keep them coming!

A few things you can specifically pray for right now are:

•Guidance on decisions for Paul, as these are heavy decisions.

•Strength for Sarah as she continues to be by Paul’s side day after day.

•For all of Paul’s children, Rachel, Matt, and Ben. And a special prayer for his grandchildren, as they grieve and try to understand why this is happening to their strong Papa.

•For all who know Paul to have peace with the outcome of this tragic accident.
