Hello there, my name is Lauren Nicole Scott and I am the writer and creator of Lost Girl. Lost Girl is an upcoming series that I have written myself and with your help can finally be brought to life! This dramedy is mixed with both animated content along with real-world content about a girl named Dove who is trying to figure out what she wants to do with her life. She is trusting of her process but at times doubts her abilities to live up to her true potential. Growing up one of my favorite shows on TV was Lizzie McGuire which was the inspiration for the cartoon subconscious of my main character Dove.
I have been a healthcare student for about five years and I always aspired to write and produce shows and movies. I actually just recently quit my pursuit of becoming a nurse to work full-time on what I am truly passionate about. I have written and finished the first season of Lost Girl and I am now beginning the process of finding my team and casting for the characters. I am super excited for this whole project it literally gives me butterflies.
My goal is to begin filming at the beginning and have this project complete before the spring of 2024. I plan to film for a week Monday through Sunday the casting process will be complete along with wardrobe and character files which are already completed and sent out for scouting of actors. This is a huge project I would love to be able to supply my actors/actresses along with any other people on the team a place to lay their heads during the week of filming along with food for the week. Just a gist of what the funding will be going towards.
Lost Girl is more than a passion project for me, it is a dream to me. I aspire to write multiple series and be able to one day work with several of my idols in the industry like Issa Rae, Spike Lee, and Shonda Rhimes. I want to be able to show that there are no limits and that big dreams can come true. It's important to go after what you want and young women and men need to know this.
