About Operation: Heal Our Heroes:
Operation: Heal Our Heroes (HOH) was born out of a deep-seated commitment to support the brave men and women who have served our nation. The founders, moved by the alarming rates of Post Traumatic Stress (PTS) and the tragic suicide epidemic among veterans, felt compelled to take action upon the loss of their close friend. They recognized that while these heroes had fought valiantly on the battlefield, many were struggling with invisible wounds upon returning home. HOH was established to bridge this gap, providing a lifeline to those in need.
The Gap:
As we traverse this period post- Afghanistan and Iraq withdrawals , there is a chasm in life post service where many veterans are caught searching for a new task and purpose. While our focus has historically been to triage issues with mental health care support through our affiliates, we recognize an evolving landscape and the dual need to help connect and align veterans with career opportunities post-service where they can leverage their military experience and apply it to any range of industries they so choose.
