Ayana Lane is a 43 year old mother of three who is being displaced due to eviction while she is suffering from on-going sickle cell crisis. She has been in and out of the hospital for months and has used the last of her funds to stay in motel rooms. She is currently experiencing insufficient funds and facing homelessness with no family or friends to turn to for shelter or financial support.
I am one of Ayana's three children and I ask that those who are capable and willing donate what they can so that my mother can have shelter again so that she can live not only a stable and independent life for herself, but so that she may be reunited with her children under one roof where she can be a mother and primary caregiver. Ayana's children are her whole world and not being able to be there for them is breaking her.
Ayana's mother (whom she previously lived with prior to eviction) is also in a rehabilitation center learning how to walk again. This money will go towards aide for Ayana, her children, and her disabled mother. The funds will help them secure housing and give them the agency to come back together as family so that they can support each other fully.
