On Wednesday, July 26th, My mother was admitted to the hospital due to having a second stroke. She was released from the hospital on July 28th with medications and a promise of in-home help from a Physical and a Speech therapist. Because this is her second stroke and it left her with limited motor functions, she is unable to work and she has been our only source of income since I left my job this May. We're fighting an uphill battle to get her filed for short-term disability at the moment.
On Sunday, August 13th, My mother fell in the bathroom and we took her to the hospital again. The doctors found out that her kidneys were severely dehydrated and her mental status had worsened. So they kept her in the hospital before moving her to their in-patient rehabilitation facility to help her with Physical/Speech/Occupational Therapies. She did a complete 360 and started acting like her old self again. She was finally able to come home on August 31st.
I'm currently job hunting but bills and rent are quickly piling up and my mother doesn't have much money on her account for me to access for the time being. And due to my own youthful foolishness, I don't have much in my own account.
On top of that, home health was denied for my mother and an ambulance bill of $800 just came in and we can't afford it.
So until I find a job, I need some help getting money for bills, rent, and groceries. The goal is $2,000 but any amount of money would be super helpful.
Thank you in advance!
