Our cousin Bobby who has severe psychological problems including autism had a very simple life until now. He lived with his mother in a small basement apartment in my mom's house. Bobby's mother was his entire world. His interests were very simple. He did not live the life of a typical 29 year old man. As long as he had video games, food, and movies to watch he was content.
Unfortunately, when people say life is unpredictable, it's very true.
Bobby's life has turned 100 times worse just 2 days ago. His beloved mother, his companion in life, died of a massive brain hemorrhage. While grieving in his own way, Bobby still agreed to donate his mom's organs to a person in need. It made him happy thinking that is what his mom would have wanted.
As his grieving has progressed, a harsh reality of life has set in. While Bobby has my mom, his aunt, helping him provide a rent-free accomodation and three meals a day, his financial distress is obvious.
For Bobby, with his mental disability, grievance works differently. He has significant mood swings. He understands that his life will never be the same and the day may come sooner than later where he may get deprived of stuff that made him happy. He also loves his pet cat Sammy that is 13 years old and now his only companion. He is also worried about potential expenses related to his cat. He tries to understand and accept this fact but it's not easy for him. We have already seen some nervous breakdowns in just a matter of a few days and are worried that it will only get worse without having some solid financial help that is set to help Bobby survive happily.
Anything you can donate to help Bobby get through this difficult time would be greatly appreciated.
