Toucan Sam arrived here very frail, suffering from malnutrition, full of mites and unable to fly! We believe Toucan Sam was taken from his mother early and smuggled here to the U.S. Because of the malnutrition he suffered he has not been able to fly so strong legs are very important! Yesterday, Toucan Sam had a fall and fractured his leg and is scheduled for surgery next week.
Toucan Sam is a very sweet, shy guy who has come a long way since arriving! Please, if you can, help us bring him home healthy. ❤️
