On the night of August 13th, a major storm literally blew in and took down a tree. The tree then shook the house when it bounced off the roof creating a dent and hole into the attic. Then it started to rain in our guest room from the ceiling fan. Totes were dumped out and thrown under the rain but the damage was already done.
We are a one income family since my husband is disabled. We already live paycheck to paycheck, barely scraping by on my meager earnings. Unfortunately, that also means that we don't have homeowners insurance. We had to make a cut somewhere so we could put food on the table and that's the only place left.
We are looking for help trying to get funds together to at least get our roof fixed. All extra will go towards repairing the water damage in the attic and guest bedroom
