For those who are unaware, Vinny Rafferty died in a fatal car accident on Monday, April 3, at 12:35 am ET while on his way to pick up his family and move them back to Boston. Vinny was a loving husband, caring father, and one of the funniest people you’d ever meet. He served for 20 years in the United States Marine Corp., retiring as a Gunnery Sergeant in 2019. He was working as a corrections officer in Boston when he passed. Vinny is survived by his wife, Chrisi Rafferty; their two children, Padraic and Saoirse Rafferty; and his two step-children, Tristan and Penelope Chacon.
Any amount you are able to give will make a significant difference in the lives of his family as they do their best to move forward after this unexpected disaster. Chrisi and the kids are now moving to Santa Clarita, CA, to be closer to her family, but her car (at 319K miles) is too rusted-out to make the trip. These donations will go towards a safe vehicle that Chrisi can use to continue building a life for their children, moving expenses, and the cost of Vinny’s memorial (date TBD).
