Hello, I'm Leta, a small business owner in Colorado. I'm creating this campaign for my good friend in the Gaza Strip, Palestine.
I'll let Saleh tell you his story:
Back to the North
I am Saleh Ahmed, a simple Palestinian man, I live with my beloved wife Lana and our little son Hassan, who is not yet two years old. We had a warm home in northern Gaza, a place that held our dreams and laughter, but today it has become a memory.
When the war intensified, I had to flee with my family to southern Gaza, leaving everything behind. Every night, I reassured my son, telling him that everything would be okay, while inside I was searching for hope amidst the rubble.
With the announcement of the ceasefire, I decided to return to the north, to the place that had always been our refuge. But what I found was beyond all my fears. My home, which was once a place full of love and safety, is now a pile of ruins. There are no doors, no walls, and no roof to protect my child from the bitter cold of winter or the scorching heat of summer.
Today, I stand before you with love and hope, asking for help. I appeal to everyone who can stand with me in this difficult time. I need your support to rebuild my home into a safe shelter for me and my family.
I know that circumstances are difficult for everyone, but even a donation of one dollar can make a huge impact. The cost of rebuilding my house is estimated at about 20 thousand dollars, and I am confident that the goodness in your hearts can work miracles.
I hope that you will join hands with me, that you will extend a helping hand to me, because life gives a more beautiful meaning when we share hope.
Thank you to everyone who will stand by my side. It contributes to bringing a smile back to the faces of my little family.
The money raised from this campaign will be used to rebuild the home for Saleh's family and for cost of living while rebuilding. Thank you for being here and for taking time to learn of how to support this family after so much loss and trauma. We're all a team here, on this planet, and we can do this.
