Last year, my life changed. I know, there was the Covid-19 virus, however, I was given a positive diagnosis for Breast Cancer.
In October of 2020, Breast cancer awareness month, on the 19th, I learned my truth.
I remember, thinking "this can not be true"!
In that moment, I really didn't have time to take it all in, because I was immediately bombarded with doctor appointments to discuss and start my treatments. This consist of chemo, medication, radiation, surgery and a host of other appointments.
My medical insurance has a high deductible, then once it's met.. insurance covers 80% of my out of pocket.
After taking a medical leave of absence for almost 5 months (surgery, radiation and recovery), my bills have continued to grow.
I am a married mother of 3 children and the fact that I'm still standing is a blessing! My oncologist states, I should be in full remission by the end of year! I will be so happy to see that day😊!
