I am known by many names but for the sake of this fundraiser, you can call me Mercy, hostess of The Whimsical Blasphemy Show on Twitch.
After over a year of battling a no-fault eviction attempt from my current landlord, I recently had a victory. I was able to settle, on my terms, but part of that agreement means I must be out of my current apartment by April 30th, no exceptions.
In a stroke of last-minute luck (and tenacity), I found a new place for myself, my two teenagers, and our two cats. A local city program is helping with the deposit but I am still short on the funds to actually get us moved. And that’s why I’m asking for your help!
Movers are necessary because I live with lingering mobility issues from a rare spinal cord illness (Transverse Myelitis) that briefly paralyzed me in 2022. While I’ve recovered a lot, my strength is limited and the tasks of packing, deep cleaning, and setting up a new home are already overwhelming me.
Here’s what your contribution will support:
- Hiring movers (I can’t physically move everything myself)
- Junk removal/disposal (I must leave nothing behind)
- Future Rent Any remaining funds will go toward future rent, which is already due May 1st.
Speaking of which...
I don't even fully have first month's rent yet. 😭 I’ve been job hunting relentlessly for over a year, but I’m still not employed full time. I’m been narrowly getting by on freelance gigs but it’s not enough. That said... Are you hiring? Or know someone who is? Got any job leads?
I’m actively looking for full-time work or more freelance opportunities. I hold a BA in Communications (Summa Cum Laude, 2019) with a focus on new media, and have worked as a: Digital Marketer, Media & Comms Consultant, Writer/Editor, Web & Graphic Designer, Project Manager ...including some high-profile work for The Satanic Temple, which might explain a few roadblocks in the “traditional” job market. (Oops.)

From the bottom of my chaotic, tired, and grateful heart: Thank you for reading. Thank you for helping. And thank you for believing I can land on my feet, with the cats and all. 🖤
With gratitude and defiance,
Mercy
