Life has taken a hard turn for my family, and we’re doing everything we can to stay afloat. I was recently laid off, and despite applying every day, I still haven’t been able to secure a new job. I’m trying, but the doors just haven’t opened yet.
My daughter and I are doing their best to help. They have a job, but her hours are limited, and she simply doesn’t make enough to cover rent, bills, and the car payment that gets her to work. We’re stretching every dollar, cutting every corner, and still falling short.
We’re not looking for luxuries — we’re just trying to keep a roof over our heads and the lights on while I continue searching for work. The $2,000 goal will go directly toward rent and essential bills, so we don’t fall behind while we fight our way through this rough patch.
Asking for help is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do, but right now we truly need it. If you’re able to give anything — even a few dollars — it would mean more than you know. And if you can’t donate, sharing this would help us just as much.
