The parts for a Precious Plastic small-scale recycling machine have already been purchased for $516. I decided to finally just do it! The remaining parts and labor will be some additional costs.
2 years ago I visited Tulum, Mexico to work, live a zero waste life, & gain some local insight about the tourist trash consumption. People visit these areas for their beauty but are oblivious to their huge negative impact on Mother Nature. This project will not only eventually PAY locals for their different types of plastic which currently have NO proper regulations for waste management, but it will also educate people about their impact and encourage a shift from a waste-filled lifestyle to a zero-waste one.
I'll be working with lots of different groups down there that can benefit from this project and point it in the right directions. Please help out some of the most beautiful places and people I've ever met. Please help a community that can help change the planet one tourist at a time.
