Our poor sweet girl has been through so much and we really just want her last couple years to be comfortable and happy. The biggest problem with that is she barley uses that leg and can't even get hugs anymore without it hurting. The $3000 will give us enough to at least get Lilo fully checked out so we will have a better idea what we need to do for her. About 3 years ago we first saw a lump forming on her front right leg. Unfortunately, when we took Lilo in to get it checked she got traumatized and this poor girl was already so terrified of people. The vet ended up taking her away from us, gave her multiple Vaccines which we explained that we don't trust them on her, and had 4 people holding her down to only do 2 feet of nails. I was pissed because we explained all our concerns about Vaccines for her and her stress levels but they still proceeded to have a 200lbs women lay on top of her to do nails that I said they didn't need to do if she's stressed. So already scared Lilo became even more scared of others and even got a lump that now won't go away were they infected the vaccines.  For all of yhat stress on our poor baby the only think they could tell us wqs its a mass cell tumor which could be nothing or very serious especially if its spreads. For a while we just tried to save money and help her relax more around people. Well, around summer last year she started acting weird about the leg again so we wanted to get it check so we found a new vet. They had to get Lilo on 3 different medications and be muzzled to come in and they still couldn't even talk without her trembling and barking. Even with her like this they still calmly got blood drawn and found nothing at the time. So we focused more on the anxiety, starting a daily anti-anxiety, with gabapentine and trazidone as needed for her pains and extra anxious times. This was working for a while with her slowly calming down more when around people and only a few short moments of leg pains. We still kept checking it everyday and it slowly got more attached to her leg and started to grow a skin tag on the other side. Lilo would still use it fine until about a week ago she woke up and just wouldn't put pressure. Since it's right at her joint she couldn't even figure out how to stand without looking like she was in a lot of pain. For about 3 days she was very lethargic, low appetite, pain in her chest and leg, and extremely scared to be alone. Once I had a day off of work we took her to the vet. Lilo was honestly the calmest I've ever seen her with people talking that much even with her having lower doses of her meds. We got to have a good talk with our vet about what would be the best start to trying to save her leg. Since, we don't know if the pains are all connected we need to get multiple tests done. Which ever test could end up needing another after depending how severe any of it is. We are really hoping to get the full $3000 just incase it is serious. Since either way we will need to do more work on her leg after the testing. The best option is its minor and we can get her into an oncologist to help reduce the mass. But if it has already spread we might at least have to remove her leg. Either way we just want to have a better chance to do what's best for our baby girl. She's finally getting a good chance to be around others and I really don't want her to lose that because she's always in pain. Please, please share and donate if you are able.
