For the past year, a little cat named Erika has called Rosemary’s home.
She lived outside on the restaurant’s patio, quietly becoming part of our everyday lives. She was there through busy shifts, late nights, and quiet mornings. I started feeding her, and over time, she came to recognize me. She may be very scared of people and still has her feral instincts, but she knows us, trusts us in her own way, and has always had a special place in our hearts.
Then Rosemary’s closed.
And suddenly, Erika lost the only home she had known.
The patio that protected her, the people who fed her, and the routine she depended on are all gone. She is still there, waiting for the place that used to be her home.
I can't bring Erika home myself, but I also can't just leave her behind.
We are trying to find the safest solution for her, whether that means getting her veterinary care, having her spayed and vaccinated, working with a rescue or foster organization, or helping her transition into a safe and permanent home.
Because Erika deserves more than being forgotten when the restaurant closed.
The funds raised will go toward her veterinary care, spay/neuter, vaccinations, food, transportation, foster care, and any other expenses involved in getting her somewhere safe.
If you know Erika, you know she isn't just "the cat outside Rosemary's."
She's Erika. She became part of our little community. And now we're trying to make sure that closing the restaurant doesn't mean the end of her story.
