My name is Sheri Morlok, I am 29 years old and a proud Mommy of two beautiful daughters. Around the time my daughters were both 3 and 7 years old; I was in an unimaginably abusive relationship. After surviving and enduring 6 years of narcissistic abuse, psychological torture, physical abuse was a regular thing for me; being choked, thrown around...after healing 14 broken bones over that span of time... I DECIDED ENOUGH WAS ENOUGH. I left with the clothes on my back. I decided that it would be very selfish of me to drag my children through the mud with me. After all, I had no place to go, no money, no car, nothing of my own: it felt like he had won and I refused to let that happen. So I made the HARDEST, most SELFLESS decision any mother could ever make: I asked my family to take my children while I learn to live a life independently. As a survivor of domestic violence; this was a terrifying step to take. BUT I DID IT.

I started working, saved up some money, bought a car, got my licensing for my job as an insurance agent...things we're looking up! I was excited at the pace I was moving forward: I just wanted my children back in my arms and to be free of those suffocating chains that once held me down before.

Then, along comes 11/16/2023:

I was on my way home from work, about 7pm and I was driving down East/West Highway in Forest Hill Maryland; slowed down into the left hand turn lane, I was completely stopped. I lifted my foot off of the brake to turn Left ON TO THE ROAD I LIVE ON: I was 20 seconds from home.

I was hit at 70mph from behind while at a dead stop. This vehicle was my only vehicle. My life line if you will. I had a dresser in the back that I was bringing home, I was going to take it out and bring it inside that night when I got home. This dresser hit me in my head at 70mph.

Now, due to the negligence of another driver..

• I had to receive 10 staples in my head, due to a laceration that was roughly 6 inches long and down the the skull.

• the brunt force of the impact almost ruptured my appendix

• My face hit the steering wheel which knocked my teeth out and destroyed a partial that I had made previously (my previous relationship caused for the partial that broke, to be made)

• Broke my nose

• internal injuries

Now, I wake up everyday with a headache.

•Migraines are inevitable.

• I cannot return to work due to ongoing doctors appointments, physical therapy twice a week. ETC.

• I can no longer do the things I love without pain or limitations DUE TO THE NEGLIGENCE OF ANOTHER DRIVER

This 👇🏽 is where my beautiful daughter's Car Seats would've been had I not been riding home from work, alone, that day. If they were in the car, they would've 100% been killed on impact. It makes me sick to my stomach to think about.

I am humbly creating this post as a way to help propell me back into the direction I was headed before my accident.

I would use this money to buy a car, help to get a place that we can call home, a place where my daughters can be back with their Mommy again.

A FRESH START.

Thank you in advance to all those who took the time to read this. Thank you again to those who'll find it in their heart to contribute to this cause. May God bless you all; be safe and take care.
