My sweet dog Patterson needs surgery after tearing a ligament in his hind leg. Watching him struggle to move around breaks my heart. He's always been more than a pet to me, a joyful presence and a loyal friend. Seeing him unable to enjoy the simple pleasures he loves, like his daily walks or chasing after his favorite ball, has been incredibly difficult.
Patterson and I share a home in Poughquag, surrounded by the places he loves to explore. Every day, his wagging tail and enthusiastic spirit remind me of why I want to do everything I can for him. This surgery is essential to help him heal and return to his playful self.
