Hey Everybody!
I’m trying to raise money for the most expensive part of a PC build, the GPU. I have always been a tech girl, but the cost of pre-built PCs have always been outside of my budget
In 2020, during the height of the pandemic, I worked as a non-essential food service worker and had a lot of time to think about what I wanted to do with my life. I realized that video editing was my absolute jam! My laptop by that point was already 5-6yrs old and was *not* capable of handling the rigorous types of editing softwares available at that time, let alone now in 2024.
Fast forwarding to now, like many of us, I’ve been mostly unemployed since 2020. A few good temp jobs that were exactly that, temporary. Finding a full-time position that pays closer to a living wage has been the greatest frustration of this portion of my life.
Deciding to build my own PC has brought me such great joy and passion back into my life that I didn’t realize I was missing. While I’d very much prefer to be working to fund my needs/desires by myself, I’ve gone back and forth long enough to finally decide to ask for help.
