Marilyn has always had a passion for the sciences. A microbiologist by trade, she worked at Miller for over 30 years and upon retiring, she volunteered for the school at her beloved Believers In Christ where she was an active member since the 80s.
In 2019, she decided to go back to the school to volunteer with the "littles", as she called them, because she had so much love and knowledge to share. Unfortunately, she was unable to do so after being diagnosed with cancer.
Marilyn battled cancer bravely for four years and on September 6, 2023, the Lord called her home. Our family would like to fulfill her desire to give back to the students by donating funds to support STEM education at Believers In Christ Christian Academy. Who knows, one of these bright young scholars may become the researcher who finds a cure for cancer.
