Update: We attend court May 11 and must have our full rent for April and May paid which is a total of $2,890.
My name is Jaden and I’m 26 years old, and I’m reaching out during a very difficult season for my family. Less than a year ago, we experienced homelessness, and since then my husband and I have been doing everything we can to rebuild stability for ourselves and our children.
Unfortunately, we are now facing eviction and are in urgent need of support to help keep a roof over our heads and maintain stability for our babies. Things became even more difficult in January when we lost our car and my husband lost his job due to ongoing car problems.
My husband has recently secured a new job opportunity, and we are grateful for that blessing, but he does not begin working for several more weeks. In the meantime, we are still trying to cover rent, utilities, food, transportation, and daily living expenses while doing our best to stay afloat during this transition.
This season has been emotionally, mentally, and financially overwhelming, but through it all we have continued to lean on our faith in Jesus Christ and trust that God will make a way for our family.
We’ve reached out to over 30 resources and we either don’t qualify, the applications are full, the applications don’t open until after our court date, and the list goes on.
We are not looking for handouts, only a helping hand while we continue rebuilding our lives and working toward stability again. Any donation, no matter the amount, would help relieve some of the pressure we are currently facing and would go toward:
• Rent and housing expenses
• Utilities and household necessities
• Food and essentials for our children
• Transportation and emergency needs
