Help Michael Get to Life-Saving Cancer Treatments and Related Care
A few months ago, our brother Michael was living a full and spirit filled life with his family as he is a devoted husband, a loving son and brother, and a man of deep faith. For years he has quietly cared for others in his community, including opening his home to help raise two relatives who are like his own children.
Sadly, the unexpected happened. After multiple surgeries caused by an aggressive blood cancer and bone loss, he is unable to walk and must rely on transport services away from his hometown in order to receive his life saving treatments.
Thankfully, his medical insurance is covering his chemotherapy and radiation treatments. However, insurance does not cover the specialized transportation services needed, on-going transportation costs (average $350-$400 per trip) for the remainder of this year to get to his treatments in addition to home care provider services as he is not yet eligible for Medicare assistance.
In addition to the medical equipment and financial support that our family is already providing, we seek to raise $50,000 to support his immediate and long-term transportation needs so that Michael can focus solely on healing.
