I grew up as a prodigy. When I tested intellectually in preschool, they pulled the individuals that adopted me aside and wanted to start my public education in 5th grade. When I filled out the standardized testing paperwork in elementary school, I scored 'Post High School' in almost every category. I played soccer and was a leading scorer on my team for multiple seasons. I was in adult dance classes at 11 years old. I qualified for the state gymnastics championships from 8th grade through 12th grade. I moved to LA and was a professional dancer and I did gymnastics in television and film. Sometimes I worked 60-70 hours per week to try and pay for all of my expenses. The rent has increased to be approximately triple what I was paying in 2010. Los Angeles has not been distributing many Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers for affordable housing. I have gone into debt to try and stay sheltered in non-congregate housing. While staying in interim housing sites I have witnessed bed bugs, mites, ticks, broken heaters, no hot water, and conditions that are not great for human beings. I have had to replace clothing and bedding due to infestations. I would like housing that is sanitary. I would like my debt to be paid off.
