Dear friends,
Basil the dog, a wonderful companion, recently had a mishap in his yard and tore his CCL on his left side. He was seen at an emergency vetrinarian on Friday, March 25th and after an extensive examination, they concluded that he would need surgery.
Currently, he can not get around at all on his own; it has been a big adjustment for this 12 year old coon-hound mix. He is taking it all in stride the best that he can and has an amazing human family doing a stellar job caring for him. He is dining on some of the best food ever and his whole faily moved down to the living room to keep him company through the nights. He is really loved.
However, he needs a set of wheels and a ramp out of the house to the yard.
He will need a quad-chair to support him due to his size, age, injury, and arthritis. We are hoping to install a ramp to the yard as well so he can get sunshine, fresh air, and well, do his business.
I am trying to raise money for my sister's family. Brian is currently carrying this lovely beastie-boy around for all his needs. They are doing an amazing job, but I think a wheelchair will help make sure Brian and Carisa also don't get injured. Also, this would make a great birthday gift for Basil who turns 13 on April 1st.
I am not one to ask for things for free like this. Therefore, I will be sending anyonewho donates to this endeavor FREE cat photos, dog photos, and Instructional dance videos (The Shim Sham line dance, and some basic solo jazz class videos).
thanks,
Carla
