Hello Family and Friends,
As many of you know, a year ago I made the decision to leave my marriage and start fresh for the sake of my daughters and my own well-being. While this choice has brought new opportunities and relief, it has also come with significant emotional and financial challenges. I’m currently juggling mounting legal fees, credit card debt, rising everyday expenses like groceries and car repairs, and the added costs of uniform clothes for the girls.
My ex isn’t contributing to our shared debts, leaving me to shoulder most of the burden alone. Between the delayed home appraisal process and ongoing attorney fees—which have already reached $20k—I’m struggling to cover the basics, from rent to utilities and gas. I even have just $6 left in my savings account, despite working hard at my job and trying to pick up extra work on my days off.
As I approach my 41st birthday, I’d love to mark this milestone by setting aside $1000 to help build a small safety net. This amount will go directly into my savings to cover urgent expenses and create a little breathing room while I work toward a more stable future for my daughters and myself.
If you’re able to lend a hand, even a little bit, it would mean the world to me. Your support is not just a birthday gift—it’s an investment in our future during this challenging time. Thank you for always being there for me.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Karen
