A year and a half ago my family was devastated, like so many others, when we lost my father to non-small cell lung cancer.
For decades Frank strived to maintain a healthy lifestyle, yet despite his best efforts NSCLC won.
Frank was an amazing man, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He was an active member of the Peabody community and made a lasting impact not only on the people of Peabody the city itself.
His diagnosis turned many lives upside down in the most inconceivable way. Fear became bravery’s best friend and smiles were few and far between. I will never forget my Dads face when he said “this is hell, I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy.”
Anyone who has ever been through this kind of loss can understand the compounding amount of stress both emotionally as well as financially.
To help ease that burden for others, my family has decided to start the Frank F Cook fund.
No family dealing with cancer treatment or the loss of a loved one should have to also deal with the stress of a financial burden.
All proceeds raised by this fundraiser will go directly to families struggling with the crushing financial weight of a cancer diagnosis. You deserve to be with your loved ones in their final days.
Frank would have loved to save every man, woman, daughter, and child from the pain he suffered. Every donation made in his honor will allow him to do that.
Thank you for your support in memorializing my father and giving these moments back to the families in need of your support. We will be holding a fun run called COOKIES RUN ON SEPTEMBER 23rd starting at the Italian club in Peabody. All proceeds will go to the Frank cook foundation.
