3/5/26 Update
As we all know, the U.S. and Israel are waging war against Iran. What's been getting less coverage in the news is the escalating conflict between Pakistan and Afghanistan in addition to the destabilizing effects of U.S. aggression rippling throughout the region. This week has seen escalating violence in Pakistan, including more than 40 killed in Karachi, the city where Sarah lives. Amidst this instability and danger, Sarah is trying to keep things together for her family and support her mom's medical treatment. Her health has been declining and more tests are needed to diagnose/rule out a potential heart problem. Sarah is continuing to raise funds for an air purifier for herself and medical expenses for her mom. This community has done so much to support Sarah and we want to continue to keep her and her family healthy and safe as much as we're able. Thank you for any amount you're able to contribute.

Hello everyone, I'm Sarah, and my pronouns are she/her/they/them.
Let me share a bit about myself. A bit about me: I'm 33, living in Pakistan, identifying as a trans woman, and falling on the neurodivergence spectrum. I've grappled with myself for a considerable period. It has taken me a while to recognize that something has been amiss. Forming personal relationships has always been challenging, largely stemming from my lack of realization about my own neurodivergence and my reluctance to come to terms with my gender identity.
I initiated this campaign because I left my previous job in 2021 (yes, I've been unemployed for over three years now) to take a break from a field I didn't enjoy. Despite having some savings and acquired assets, the economic conditions in Pakistan have made survival incredibly difficult. Skyrocketing inflation, soaring prices for utilities like electricity, and other essentials have left me struggling. The power bill keeps rising despite efforts to reduce consumption, making survival increasingly challenging amid Pakistan's crumbling economy.
These three years of unemployment have allowed me to reflect on what fields I truly enjoy. After trying my hand in various areas, I got through Coursera's Cybersecurity program and I'm officially a cybersecurity analyst. However, with the job market as it is now, and after consulting with some experienced mentors in the field, I need to acquire some more certifications to increase my chances of getting a job.
The aim of this campaign is to raise enough money so I can get further certifications while paying for groceries, bills, vet, and medical bills. Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for considering supporting me during this challenging time.

It is with regret that I have to say that I need to increase the goal of this campaign to help my mother for dental work. All of her chewing teeth have fallen and she needs extensive dental work. All of it is very expensive. Over the course of the year, she needs extensive dental work so that she can chew food properly and not be in pain. The total cost of all of it is going to be around $6000 over the course of the following year. I would greatly appreciate all the support, so that I can get my mom the medical care that she needs.
