The Starlighter has always been more than just a venue in the Deco District. For over four years, it’s been a beating heart of creativity and acceptance, offering a stage to local talents and a welcoming space for everyone, especially the LGBTQ+ community. We’ve poured everything into keeping our employees and performers paid, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for those who step onto our stage for the first time. This commitment, however, has left us struggling to keep up with rent and unable to invest in necessary upgrades.
We’re reaching out to you because we need $40,000 to cover overdue rent and make essential improvements. Adding air conditioning, new flooring, and window tint will greatly enhance the comfort and experience for everyone who walks through our doors. Securing a TABC license and stock will allow us to expand what we can offer, bringing even more energy and life to our events. More than just a physical upgrade, this funding will secure our future as a vibrant community hub. By coming together, we can ensure The Starlighter continues to shine brightly for artists and audiences in San Antonio.
