KEEP THEM HOME
In lieu of flowers for Jack Gunter we would like to extend the opportunity to help others stay home as we were personally able to do through the generosity of others. It is through a fundraiser that we were able to keep our daddy home until his passing so now we would like to reciprocate the effort and start a fund to help others in need.
Home was Clairmont Crest for my daddy. As he always said, “It’s the place to be, it grows on ya and it keeps getting better and better!” Whether he led the music at the weekly Bible study, played Bingo, took a dip in the pool or just shared his latest story on the elevator he had become a big part of the heart of “The Crest”. And they had become a part of his! Some of these friends he had known since his early days in college and then the new faces who became endeared to him when hearing of his health and memory changing were so amazing in making all efforts to have him remain there amongst them. At his request and the gifts from donors he was able to spend his remaining moments amongst his family and his friends. Especially with this unprecedented time with the Covid virus spreading we among many families don’t always have the finances to keep their loves one’s home. Instead this virus is often keeping families apart because they may need help from a facility that does not allow visitors. Therefore, we knew we had to find a way to keep him there.
It is through the blessing of many that we were able to keep him home up to his last moment. We in turn would like to offer the opportunity for you to help keep families of Clairmont Crest’s loved one’s home when it is a most crucial time to keep them near. Whether the donations be for rehabilitation or for peace and comfort and time to spend their remaining days with their families. We would like if you could find it in your heart to donate to this amazing cause in helping this facility to enable their tenants to have the same opportunity as we were given.
