Hi everyone,
I’m starting this fundraiser to help my friend Caleb get a reliable car for his 20th birthday!
For years, Caleb has worked incredibly hard with the hope of earning a car. Since he was 16, he’s been given promise after promise. He was told if he graduated with straight A’s, he’d get a car. Which he achieved, but the promise was never fulfilled. Later, he was told that if he proved he could pay for his own insurance by working extra shifts, he’d finally get one. Again, it didn’t happen. Most recently, he was told he’d get a car if he went back to college, even though he’s currently focused on paying off the college debt he already has.
Every time he reaches the goal that’s been set for him, the goal seems to change.
At only 19 years old, he doesn’t have the credit history needed to finance a vehicle on his own, and he’s not asking for anything fancy. He simply wants a dependable car that can get him to work, school, and wherever life takes him safely.
Watching someone work this hard and continually have the finish line moved has been heartbreaking. Caleb has always stayed humble, kept working, and never expected handouts. That’s exactly why I wanted to do something for him.
