I know and empathize with everyone that might be experiencing such a hard time right now. It seems pretty common and it’s heartbreaking. I am needing some help from the community if you are able too. As many of you know the federal workforce did massive layoffs. Unfortunately for me as a contractor I was also let go. It was unexpected and no really time for us to prepare for this. I have gone through my savings and 401k just to survive. I have exhausted those funds. I have tried to apply for assistance in my state but A lot of programs are either behind or no more funds.
My main focus has been to keep our home, so I have had to let certain bills go which has tanked my credit as well. It’s just my three kids and I and I’m doing everything I can to continue to provide for us.
I have been applying to so many jobs with barely any follow ups. I’ve had interviews but was ghosted after. I’m so stressed and worried what the next week or few weeks will look like. It’s the holiday season and it’s cold and the last thing I want to happen for us to be evicted and in the streets.
I know you might hear this story so much but I am really needing help and the only way to do that is simply asking and there might just be help available. You are not obligated to do anything but I do ask that if you are able to, it would be a blessing the help that I can possibly receive.
With Christmas around the corner I haven’t even been able to even think about that. I am in survival mode and I wish times were not like this but I know it will not last forever.
