Andera Ryan is my friend and roommate, and she’s someone who has always put others first. With a heart overflowing with love for both children and animals, Andera has, over the years, opened her home and her life to countless foster children, offering them a sanctuary of stability and affection when they needed it most. She’s also an author, having written 'Child of Innocence,' a book about her own journey with multiple personalities disorder, (MPD). Through her writing, she has bravely sought to raise vital awareness about the root causes of MPD, particularly the devastating impact of child abuse, thereby offering a beacon of hope and solidarity to others living with similar conditions. Recently, Andera faced a devastating setback when her vehicle, a lifeline to critical medical care needs, was stolen by someone she was trying to help get back on her feet. The stolen vehicle was found abandoned and towed to impound in Vancouver WA. The vehicle was found to be stripped and vandalized and the only set of keys were not left in the vehicle. With the combination of impound and tow and locksmith and repairs it was too much unknown cost to bring the vehicle home as it would have exceeded our budget and the vehicles value being it a 2003 Mazda pickup truck. Embarrassingly the thief was a relative of mine that had been estranged from me for almost 30 years and we offered to give her a hand up to help her get back on her feet. It was an unexpected way to thank someone who was trying to help her. I am saving all I can to help as well and naturally feel some responsibility to do so being for the fact that she was victimized by my own relative. She has made no effort to contact us and we don't expect that she will. When the truck was finally located in an impound lot, it had been ruthlessly stripped for parts, leaving it completely inoperable. Andera lives with diabetes and a heart condition that requires frequent cardiologist appointments for monitoring and preparation for four upcoming surgeries in the next couple of months. Without reliable transportation, the challenge of accessing vital healthcare has become an overwhelming and dangerous burden, threatening her well-being at a time when she needs stability. I’m asking for your help to raise enough funds to replace Andera’s vehicle with a reliable used one, and to cover the costs of registration and title transfer. Your support will help restore her independence and ensure that she can get the medical care she needs. Please consider donating or sharing this fundraiser—every bit of help makes a real difference in Andera’s life.
