Twenty years ago, my life changed in an instant. An accident took away 90% of the vision in my right eye. I was told then that it was irreversible. Miraculously, over time, I have regained about 10% of my vision. But now, there's a new challenge—I have developed cataracts in both eyes. This is severely affecting my ability to see clearly, to drive safely at night and in the rain, and most importantly, my ability to live my life fully at 58 years old. My doctor warns that without the necessary surgery, I could lose my driver's license due to worsening sight, a loss of independence I cannot imagine. Yet, despite the urgency, my insurance options are limited. I am ineligible through my employer and cannot afford ACA coverage. This is where I need your help.
