The Heart of the Mission
For years, I’ve had the honor of witnessing hundreds of lives transformed through therapeutic touch. As the founder of Willow Sage Massage in Columbia, I see the physical and emotional weight my clients carry, and I see it lift during our sessions. But I’ll be honest with you: as a studio proprietor, the financial reality is tough. So much of the heart I pour into this work every day goes straight back into high overhead and operational costs.
But that doesn’t stop me from showing up. In fact, it drives me. This mission isn’t just a business to me; it’s about a gift God blessed me with to help others find the relief they deserve. It has pushed me to dream bigger—to find a way to reach my community as far and wide as the road allows.
The Vision
An Immersive Studio on Wheels: My vision is Willow on Wheels—a high-end, fully immersive mobile massage suite. This isn't just a “massage in a van.” This is a complete clinical sanctuary that pulls up to your doorstep.
We all know the struggle: you find deep relief during a session, only to have that peace shattered the moment you hit traffic on the drive home. I want to cut that out. Whether you need to step away from the kids, the loud neighbors, or the smell of dinner cooking, you can step into a temperature-controlled, soundproofed professional suite right outside your door. You get the "Willow Experience" and then walk right back into your home still in that "massage brain" state of bliss.
Why This Matters to Me
My journey to this point hasn't been a straight line. It’s been shaped by my own healing journey through trauma and navigating physical and verbal abuse, 14.5 years in the military, my path in motherhood, my academic interest in Kinesiology, and my spiritual walk. After my years of service, I walked away with chronic pain that I still manage every day; I know exactly what it’s like to live in a body that feels like it’s burdened.
These experiences have taught me that "clinical" doesn't have to mean "cold” and “relief” doesn’t have to look “redundant.” I treat the body as the complex, resilient gift that it is—one that adapts and changes every single day. I use the art and science of everything I have in my toolbox, from Swedish and Deep Tissue to Myofascial Release, Cupping Therapy, Stretch Therapy, and more… all to help you unclench and unwind.
Giving Back
Because of where I’ve been, my heart is pulled toward specific communities. As this vision grows, I am committed to extending my reach through volunteer outreach events and offering gratis sessions to those who need them most:
-Pregnant Mothers navigating the beautiful (but taxing) toll of pregnancy.
-Active Service Members and Veterans who carry the weight of their service.
-Suicide Survivors, Hospice Patients, Casualties of Abuse, and those walking through their hardest seasons.
A New Chapter
Up until now, I’ve been pursuing this through a competition that, ultimately, I’ve realized isn't the right fit for the integrity of my brand or the direction God is leading me. That said, I’ve decided to stop waiting for a “win” to validate this vision, but instead take hold of the vision myself and start building this with the help of my community.
My total vision for this fully-equipped, soundproofed clinical suite on wheels is at least a $130,000-$175,000 investment. I’m starting with a $25,000 goal to secure the vehicle and begin the specialized structural build-out. These funds will go directly toward the purchase of a high-roof vehicle and the specialized clinical build-out, including quiet-run climate control and medical-grade equipment. Every dollar donated brings me closer to opening the doors and starting my gratis sessions for the mothers, service members, veterans, suicide survivors, hospice patients, and those navigating their storms who need it most.
I’m asking for your support to help me fund the vehicle and the custom build-out needed to handle the "heavy lifting" of clinical massage while maintaining a sacred space. Every donation is a seed planted into a business that exists to serve, to heal, and to spread knowledge of the art and science of massage therapy.
Thank you for your prayers, your support, and for being part of this journey. God bless!
