We rescued Shadow on Friday, March 17th. A friend saw her dropped from a car. After seeing a photo of her, I made the decision to house her for the next night or two, because we were considering bringing a dog into our family. We instantly fell in love with her, especially her kind eyes. The next night, we heard her cough. Initially we thought that maybe she had an irritated throat because I had given her a bone to chew on. Tuesday, we took her to the vet to get checked and tagged. Unfortunately, we also found out she has heart worms, hence the cough which indicates a pretty serious problem.  The treatment is long and expensive. We would love to give Shadow a forever home, here with us, however we don’t quite have this in the budget because it was so sudden. Please help us save Shadow from this terrible disease and allow her the chance to live a long fulfilling life with a forever family that loves her very much.
