Update as of today October 8th. He is still hospitalized and will be for a few more days. He will be going home with a picc line and iv meds that could be several weeks to months of being out of work. Hopefully only weeks but we just dont know. I will be a full time nurse at home for him. He cannot really talk yet and is still having issues eatting and drinking due to swelling. He still cannot take deep breaths. Please keep our family in your prayers as we navigate thru all of this.
On October 1st Juan went to Er for a infected tooth. Even with antibiotics it spread rapidly and turned into a major sepsis infection. His face, neck, throat are all swollen so bad. He is the main provider for our family and being in the hospital has put us in a financial strain. We spent 3 days in one hospital and are currently in another waiting on a surgery that should happen today to place drains in his face and neck area, plus another couple nights to make sure everything is heading the right way.
He will be on iv antibiotics once released at home and will not be able to work till the infection is gone. He is a husband and father to 3 wonderful children who adore their dad and they have not seen him since last week. We are just trying to ease some of the financial strain that this has on our family so Juan can worry about getting better and not everything else.
This man would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need and most of you know he has. Please if you feel it in your heart to help us durring this time it would be greatly appreciated.
