I am setting this up after a rough spill and a subsequent knee injury that resulted in a severed ACL and a grade 3 MCL tear. These injuries can only be treated with reconstructive surgery. I work in outdoor trail and conservation work, which is physically demanding and relies completely on a strong, stable body.
After years of searching, I have finally found the work that I feel deeply passionate about and am committed to long-term. This injury has been a frustrating interruption, but I am fully motivated to heal properly and return to the work I love as safely and as strong as possible.
While I am beyond grateful to have access to medical care, these costs are adding up very quickly-surgery, physical therapy, insurance payments, not to mention lost wages. As someone who works almost exclusively in the outdoors, this time of healing will be a significant financial hit.
Any support is greatly appreciated. I know that there are so many things in need of support right now. All funds raised will go directly toward medical expenses and covering my basic living costs while I recover and focus on getting back out in the field.
